"OVER SHE GOES"
SEASON OPENS TO-NIGHT The opening gala performance of the successful London musical comedy "Over She Goes" will be given in His Majesty's Theatre at eight o'clock tonight by J. C. Will iamson, Limited. The comedy signalises the reappearance of the popular comedian Mr. George Gee, and the first appearance in NewZealand of a number of leading musical comedy artists from Ijondon and New York. These include Miss Valerie Hay, a brilliant young English artist, Donald Burr, a juvenile lead from the principal London and New York theatres, Miss Billio Worth, ft talented American isoubrette and Pei'cy Le I're, a clever light comedian and dancer. The charming young Australian comedienne Miss Lois Green, who has appeared in Auckland on former occasions, has an important part in "Over She Goes," and the cqst also includes Miss Enid Hollins, Mr. William O'Neal, a fine tenor singer, and Kenneth Tupkfield, a clever Australian artist. The company also includes a ballet of Australian girls and an operatic chorus and orchestra. "Over She Goes" is said to contain all the ingredients which make a successful musical comedy, delightful music, brilliant dancing, colourful settings and clever, racy dialogue, and an outstanding feature is its genuine and wholesome comedy. It is said that George Gee's genius lor creating laughter is given full opportunity in a role that might have been specially created for him, so well docs he fit into it. The chorus am] orchestra are under the direction of Mr. Fred Quintrell and Mr. Victor Tatnall is the stago manager.
