ORGAN IMPROVED
PITT SThEET CHURCH After being improved and modernised, the organ in the Pitt Street Methodist Church was recommissioned last night at the annual Christmas Inusical service, conducted by the Rev. E. T. Olds, with Mr. Albert Bryant as organist and choirmaster. The removal of the organ console was necessitated by recent alterations to the choir gallery and pulpit, and to ensure the greatest effectiveness from a more remote position a modern electric action was installed to replace the pneumatic one. The console and organ front were practically renewed, and two new couplers and several pistons, keyboards and pedals were provided. Preparation was made for additional stops, the present ones including '2B speaking stops, 11 couplers and 23 manual and pedal pistons.
