% - ♦ LONDON ZOO PRECAUTIONS [from a special correspondent] LONDON, Nov. 20 Armed 'with rattles, clappers and sticks, men are patrolling Whipsnade, the country Extension of the London Zoo. to scare away birds which approach the 600-acre grounds. This is one of the precautions being taken to prevent the zoo's animals from boinp attacked by foot-and-mouth disease. Birds are believed to be carriers of the disease. This week the disease crept nearer to Whipsnade. An outbreak was confirmed at Nazeing, Essex. 25 miles avay.
