SPIRAL PATHS REPLACE STAIRS
Architects and builders believe that before very long stairs will be done away with in large blocks of flats and in big factories—their place being taken by a spiral path that slopes gently. As you probably know, the plan is already in use in certain big garages where there is a stream of motor-cars entering and leaving. And it is very convenient, for one can drive one's car to the floor where it is to be stored, and down again to street-level when the time for that comes, with little trouble and dolay.
