North. Shorq .will inept Grafton on No. 2 wicket, and the result would bo hard to forecast. Grafton is a strong batting team and its bowling, particularly that of Cowie, should bring ont the best in the North Shore batsmen. It should bo interesting also to watch North Shore's fast bowler, Simpson, away from his home ground.
Kiien, wli'cli lias shown solid lmttinpf strength Jn its recent matches, will meet Pon* son by on Xo.> 1 wicket, and among tlio players wilt be "W. N. Carson. King's Old Boys will play Y.M.C.A.. on No. 3 wicket. King's has shown poor betting !orm la'elv. but is stronger, in bowling. Prospects favour Y.M.C.A., although the match is far from a foregone conclusion. , Parndl and University will play at North Shore, where an even game is promised. The presenco of Wallaco in tho Parnell side will heighten interest in the play.
