RAWENE, Friday

The owner, Peter Campbell, and the driver, Mabel Campbell, of a school bus were charged in tho\ Magistrate's Court at Rawene with using a bus with inefficient brakes. The traffic inspector* Mr. Tread gold, emphasised the importance of vehicles used for the carriage of schoolchildren having efficient brakes. The owner was 'fined £4 and the driver ' was. convicted arid discharged. Neither of the defendants appeared in Court, Mr. G. N. Morris, S.'M.j was on the Bench.
