TOUR OF ATHLETES
FAMOUS NEGRO PERFORMERS If plans mature, Jesse Owens, sprinter, hurdler and broad jumper; Cornelius Johnson, high jumper; Ralph Metcalfe, sprinter, and John Woodruff, middle-distance runner, famous American negro athletes, may tour Australia during the coining track season under tho banner of Rufe Naylor, the Sydney sportsman. They will_ compete, if the tour eventuates, in important professional events, with Phil Edwaids, the Canadian coloured half-miler.
