MOTHER FOR CHILDREN OPINION OF HEADMASTER NEW YORK, Nov. 23 "I have lost faith in mother-love; it is mostly self-love," said Dr. William Neilson, Scottish-born headmaster of Smith College, to-day. "I used to think it' was the most wonderful thing in the world. But now I do not believe in mother-;love. "Nino times out of ten it is selflove, largely a matter of saving the mother's, face." Dr. Neilson was spoakirg at a dinner Celebrating his 20 yoars' association Trith Smith College, one of the leading •girls' schools in the United States.
