STRIKES IN AMERICA (Received December 1, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON. Nov. 30 The leader of the Committee for Industrial Organisation, Mr, John Lewis, announces that he will call a strike of workers in the motor factories at Long Beach, California, and Kansas City. The Automobile Workers' Union has called off mass picketing at the St. Louis plants. It claims that the production of the plants was seriously reduced but the management denies this, stating that production is normal.
