MOTION PICTURE DEAL

PARAMOUNT PRODUCTIONS The output of the Paramount Pictures studios for the 1938 season, comprising between 50 and 60 films, which will cost £7,000,000, has been bought for exhibition in New Zealand. A contract was completed in Wellington on Monday between Mr. S. H. Craig, representing the Paramount organisation, and the J. C. Williamson Picture Corporation, represented by Mr. F. Beaumont Smith, managing director, and Mr. L. A. Quinn, general manager, and Mr. J. H. Mason, acting for the FullerHayward Theatre Corporation. Between 40 and 50 theatres throughout the Dominion will be affected by the contract.
