SEQUEL TO AIR FATALITY AWARD TO VICTIM'S WIDOW [BY TfcLEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, "Wednesday A sequel to the fatal aeroplane accident at St. Andrews, near Timaru, in September, 1934, when a passenger, Mr. Howard Bailey, was killed, was a meeting of creditors' yesterday afternoon of the pilot, Francis Cecil Taylor, whoso principal creditor was the widow of the* victim, who in August last year was awarded damages of £1906 against tho pilot. Bankrupt stated that after the judgment the net value of his assets was £2OO, and his wife had offered to lend him £3OO if Mrs. Bailey would accept £SOO in satisfaction of the' judgment, but no definite acceptance or rejection had been received. In the meantime his assets had dwindled, as his health prevented him from working, so the offer was withdrawn. Only last month, however, he offered £3OO, the refusal of which compelled him to file a petition in bankruptcy. Bankrupt added that he gained no benefit from his wife's farm property. The matter was left in the official assignee's hands. .
