Wilson, superintendent of transportation for the Railway Department, returned to Wellington by the limited express last/ night. The Rev. George SEjrost, of Epsom, went into a private '.hospital a few days ago to undergo a% operation. He is making satisfactory progress toward recovery. Mr. R. B. Tennent, Director of the Fields Division, Department of Agriculture, was a passenger by the limited express from Wellington yesterday morning. Mr. H. A. Gatward, acting-senior „ inspector of the Labour Department at Christchurch, has been transferred to Wanganui as district inspector of factories. Captain W. G. Gentry, N.Z.S.C., of general headquarters, Wellington, left Wellington by the Tamaroa last night for England to spend two years at the Staff College, Camberley. The Rev. Dr. A. Woodbury, S.M., of St. Patrick's College,, Silverstream, arrived by the limited express from the South yesterday morning. He will leave for Australia next week to take up an appointment at the new Marist seminary near Parramatta. Mr. M. Vigeneno, Vice-Consul, for the Netherland in Australia and New Zealand, was a passenger by the Maunganui from Melbourne, disembarking at Milford Sound on Saturday. His intention was to make a trip over the Milford Track and reach Inverearpll at the end of this week. He will continue a trip through New Zealand by motor-car.
