MESSAGES TO WRESTLER

Among the many messages of goodwill received by "Lofty" Blomficld, the New Zealand champion wrestler, •who recently left by the Mariposa for America, was a radio telegram from the Hon. R. Semple and a letter from the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis. Uotli messages were received after the boat left Auckland. Extracts from the Mayor's letter are as follows:—"1 take the opportunity of wishing you a pleasant" voyage-, a successful career in America, and a safe return to New Zealand. Your activities in the United States of America will be followed with the keenest interest by your oiellow citizens in Auckland."
