MESSAGES TO WRESTLER
Among the many messages of goodwill received by "Lofty" Blomficld, the New Zealand champion wrestler, •who recently left by the Mariposa for America, was a radio telegram from the Hon. R. Semple and a letter from the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis. Uotli messages were received after the boat left Auckland. Extracts from the Mayor's letter are as follows:—"1 take the opportunity of wishing you a pleasant" voyage-, a successful career in America, and a safe return to New Zealand. Your activities in the United States of America will be followed with the keenest interest by your oiellow citizens in Auckland." Mr. Staple's wireless message reads:—"Congratulations, on your magnificent effort. You 'had hard luck. Wish you all the luck ia the world while abroad." '.. • * • • •• :
