MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE
HAWAIIAN PRINCE GUILTY SECOND SENTENCE PASSED HONOLULU, Nov. 20 Prince Kawanakaua, aged 30, the last surviving male member of the Hawaiian Koyal Family, has been sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment, having pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter. The charge resulted from the death of the prince's half-caste common-law wife, Avella Kinslea, aged 22, after a party at his apartments 011 Waikiki Beach. Her throat was cut. The prince 011 November 5 was sentenced to a similar term for violating a probation order arising out of hi? conviction for manslaughter following a motor accident in ]9.*;!2.
The sentences are cumulative but are subject to modification to a total of two years under certain circumstances.
