EVENING RECEPTION
WOMEN'S CLUB COUNCIL WELCOME TO MRS. H. KASPER A reception in honour of Aire. Hugh Kasper, who recently returned from an overseas visit, was given by the Women's Club Council of the Young Women's Christian Association on Saturday evening The assembly hall was massed with lovely flowers, mauve and pink ixias being arranged in bowls at the back of the stage, while across the entire front were vases of larkspur, gerberas and lilies. Tall stands of greenery filled in the corners of tho hall.
The guests, who included members of the Y.W.C.A. board, committee members and representatives of various women's groups of the association, were received by the president of the council, Airs. E. Morris, who was wearing a frock of black flamisol silk patterned in cream and green. Airs. Kasper was in a black brocaded silk frock under a white fur cape.
In returning thanks for the welcome extended to her, Mrs. Kasppr said she had been a board member of the Y.W.C.A. for many years, and was keenly interested in the work of the association.
Following the address musical items were given by Mrs. J. W. Probert's orchestra and songs by Mrs. S. Uren, who was accompanied by Mrs. J. Morton.
Supper was served by members of the committee.
