table of percentages The third round of the Auckland Bowling Centre's inter-club pennant competition was played on Saturday, ■when ' conditions generally were good, although tho greens were rather slow and a fairly strong wind prevailed. The former leader in section A, Grey Lvnn, n°t only retained its position, but improved on its previous record hy about 5 per cent. Carlton, previously third, is now second. This club also increased its percentage. Pre•vidusly eleventh on the list, the Avondale Club with a good round record of five wins in six games has gone up to third place. Otaluihu and Mount Eden-follow in that order, just short of Avondale's percentage. The Waiuku Club holds a strong position in section B, by reason of winning a" its six games. The club easily heads the list, holding an advantage of over 12 per cent. The next club is Ellen-lie. Te Papapa. dropped back from second to third position. Balmoral, Takapuna and Te Papapa are bracketed for third position.
