ALBERTA POLITICIAN JUDGE'S STERN REBUKE EDMOXTOX. Xov. 14 A sentence of three months' imprisonment was imposed on Joseph Uriwin, Alberta Social Credit Government Whip, who had been found guilty of criminal libel in connection with the publication of a pamphlet in which he described nine prominent opponents of Mr. William Aberhart, Premier, as "bankers' toadies." Mr. Justice Ives warned Unwin that 110 "had better have taken a personal stocktaking," and added that his constituents were paying for the best public service but had been betrayed.
