CALEDONIAN SOCIETY

SANDRINGHAM INGLES IDE The last ingleside to be held this year by the Sandringham Caledonian Society took place in the Sandringham Hall on Saturday night. The various tartans worn by many of those present added a colourful and picturesque effect to the gathering. The chief, Mr. W. D. Fulton, welcomed visitors from kindred societies and the St. Andrew's Pipe Band entertained with selections and dance music.

Assisting with the programme wore Mrs. Rattray and Mr. Laurio Stuart who contributed Scottish songs. Miss Ksma Nodder. the society's official dancer, was responsible for the Peel of Tulloch, performed by four dancers whose response to enthusiastic applause was an exhibition Highland fling. Miss Heather McKenzie, of Waiheko, also danced a Highland fling, followed by a second dance as an encore. At the conclusion of the programme a brief speech was made by Mr. Fulton. During the evening presentations were made to Miss Goodsir, the official accompanist of the society. Mrs. Bruw (dancing class) and Mr. McLean (piper).
