DESCENT IN SEA
PROFESSOR'S PROPOSAL PARIS. Nov.' 2 Professor Piccard. famous Belgian stratosphere scientist, is preparing to make a record descent in the sea. He hopes to reach a depth of five miles under the Pacific in a spherical vessel built to withstand enormous pressure. The savant will be in wireless communication with the surface. He has not disclosed where he plans to make his attempt.
