LOST COLONIES

GERMAN DEMAND NEW STAND TAKEN ITALO-JAPANESE ALLIES PRESS ASSAILS MR. EDEN By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, Nov. 2 The diplomatic correspondent of the Daily Herald states that ITerr Hitler will demand colonies on the new ground that Germany is supported by Italy and Japan, as two of the "principal allied and associated Powers" named in the Peace Treaty. The German plan is that these two of the four Powers who jointly took over German colonies shall express a wish that the arrangement be revised and that some at any rate of the possessions be returned to their former owners.

It is pointed out that Germany does not ask for colonies in general, but for the return of those she possessed before the Great War, which are in British and French hands, not in Italy's.

Explaining that it is not France but the Jew who is the enemy, Herr Hess has issued a decree prohibiting the singing of the war song: ".Victoriously Wo Will Defeat France."

Big posters, called "the official wall newspaper of the National Socialist Party," appeared in factories and large offices this morning attacking Mr. Eden. They state that Germany will no longer put up with bad excuses. The Berlin newspapers continue to attack Mr. Eden angrily. General Goering's organ, the National Zeitung, gives the first hint of Italy making concessions to Germany. It says that possible concessions are exclusively an affair between Italy and Germany and nobody else's business. Mr. Eden will have to put up with the Berlin-Rome axis.

It is officially announced in Berlin tliat Dr. Goebbels will address a great Nazi rally in Berlin on November 5, "taking stock of burning political questions, both at home and abroad." It is expected that one of the burning questions will be colonies.
