REPORTS OF MANAGERS Talisman Dubbo (Karangahakel.—Period ended October 10: Dubbo level—The drive on the hanging; wall section of the lode, holed through ,-\t 52ft north of main rise. Stoping on this lode from -18 ft north to 75ft south of the main rise, 12;l'ft in all on the average width of Ilia, and the average height 28ft. The ore is of very good grade. Xo. 2 level has been extended to 112-tft- south. The lodo is 4in wide, of rubbly quartz and clay. From 1013 ft south to 1121 ft south the width ofthe lode varied from a few inches to 4ft of fair value. Stoping is being carried out from 928 ft to 1000 ft south. Average width is 33in and average height above the level is t>4ft. Ore is of very good, grade. At l COO ft south a rise connects with Xo. .1 level to verrtllate the stopes and the face going south, level has been advanced to 5H(Jft south_of the main crosscut from ,V>Oft south. The drive is being continued underneath these old stones. It is anticipated that at 780 ft south the lode will be found to be intact. This leaves another 190 ft of driving before this point is reached. No. 7 level has been cleaned out, re-timbered and rails laid to °Ssft south of the main crosscut. From 263 ft south to 1030 ft south the level is ih gooa order. From 70ft south to 100 ft south of the main crosscut a block is now beinc prepared for stoping. The average width of the lodo is sft. Assay value fair. Intermediate level—\ crosscut was driven 23ft. above the month of No. 1 level. Where this intersects the Maria lode it was 3(iin wide and of good grade ere. Tito lover was driven for 20ft south, where an old stope worked by tribntors was met. The length of the stope is about 20ft. A winze is being sunk at ls-ft south to ascertain the depth- of solid stone underfoot. The winze is now down Oft, I.ho width of the lode in the bottom of the vvinz is l lin. When the depth of stone underfoot is ascertained it is proposed, to continue oil through the old stope find drive south on the lode. ' -
