i t THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE SLIGHTLY WEAKER TONE Although turnover was njjnin well maintained, a weaker tone was evident j n the investment market, on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Tho slight improvement which was noticeable earlier in the week was scarcely maintained yesterday, falls predominating in the day's business. Banks and insurance were featureless and values remained at about late rates. Tile classified industrials again were active, iii contrast with the quiet period experienced in recent weeks. Movements, however, followed no definite trend. Metals again eased, both .Broken Hill Proprietary and Electrolytic Zincs weakening. Other Australian industrials were inclined to drop back. Colonial Sugars made a forward movement in two transfers. MeKenzies and Consolidated Hrieks were two Dominion issues to show an improvement. In the first sale since listing was granted, Ilciil .Rubbers moved to higher levels.
