NEW FIRE STATION

PREPARATION OF SITE REMOVAL OF OLD BUILDINGS Tenders have been called by the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board for the purchase and removal of a number of buildings, principally shops, in Grey's Avenue, Pitt Street and Pitt Terrace, to make room for the new fire station. Tenders will close on November 11.

Plans for the new premises are at present being prepared by Mr. D. B. Patterson, architect. As soon as the buildings have been removed, a contract will be let for levelling the section prior to the construction of the new station.
