Mr. Doyle also announced the appointment of Mr. A. Brown, of the Railways Department, as officer in charge of the road services in Auckland. Mr. Brown, who has been in the district traffic manager's office at Auckland for the past five years, will commence his duties at the department's offices at the new bus terminal this morning. With the transfer completed this morning, to-day will mark the first occasion on which a State-owned road service has been operated from Auckland.
