THE PORT TAURANGA NEW CREW ENGAGED DEPARTURE OF VESSELS Replacing the men who walked off the vessel at Tokomaru Bay on Friday, a 7iew crew of nine sailors and three donkcymcn was signed on the Watchlin Line motor-ship Port Tauranga at Auckland yesterday morning. Those who left the ship at Tokomaru Bay following an overtime dispute were written off the articles. Through their action the Port Tauranga was forced ■to put to see owing to threatening weather and to come to Auckland manned by her officers and engineers. The Port Tauranga, which had remained at Auckland since Saturday afternoon, left for Dargaville shortly after six o'clock last evening. MINISTER ASKED TO ACT POSSIBLE DANGER TO SHIP [BY TELEGRAPH —SPECIAL REPORTER] WELLINGTON, Tuesday The action of the crew of the Watchlin Line motor-ship Port Tauranga in walking off the ship at Tokomaru Bay and leaving the vessel in imminent peril from rising seas was referred to by Mr. J. Hargest (Opposition—Awarua) in notice of a question addressed to the Minister of Marine, the Hon. P. Eraser, in the House of Representatives to-day. Mr. Hargest asked the Minister if he would take whatever steps were necessary to prevent a recurrence of an action that might result in the loss of a valuable Bhip.
