STOCKS AND SHARES
PTHE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE WEAKNESS DEVELOPS AT CLOSE A further relapse in values for metal fcliares marked operations on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Fallowing a slight improvement last week, metals opened weaker, while later in the day there was a flurry of dealing ns sellers lowered their limits. Broken Hid Proprietary, dropped Is on sale, while weakness was evident in Electrolytic Zincs'. Other sections of the market were irregular. In banks Commercials of Australia moved up strongly, but receded just as rapidly, finishing at late rates. In spite of a higher dividend. [Nationals of Australasia, £.3 paid, were marked down. New Zcalands continued active on a stronger market. Insurances uere steady. The classified issues were quiet. British Tobaccos dropped sharply at the close. After a slight improvement, G. «f. Coles closed weaker. Dominion issues were quiet, but remained comparatively steady. / *
