CROSS-COUNTRY TITLE
Running a fine race throughout, W. Weightman, Victorian five and 10 miles champion, won tho second Australian 10,000 metres cross-country championship held in South Australia recently. His time, 35m 255, lowered the course record by two minutes. A toarn mate, A. H. liassed, was second, arid S. Millington, 10 miles champion of New South Wales, was third. Victorians finished first, second, fourth and fifth,' and won the teams' race with the loss of only two possible points. "Weightman, who was favourite, won the 5000 metres national games title held in Adelaide last year.
