MANGONUI COUNCIL CLERK SEVERAL PRESENTATIONS MADE Prior to her departure for Tauranga, where she has accepted a position with the Tauranga County Council, Miss Daphne Coulter was accorded a farewell social evening in tho Masonic Hall, Kaitaia, on Friday. Miss Coulter has been assistant clerk at the Mangonui County Council offices for nearly eight years and during that time has made many friends. During the past few years Miss Coulter has had charge of the administration side of tho'county's unemployment activities and has had at times nearly 500 men under her administration. In her private life Miss Coulter lias helped many organisations, notably the Presbyterian Church in the Mangonui district. » Presentations were made to Miss Coulter by the county chairman, Mr. \V. Vickers, on behalf of the Mangonui County Council, the I?ev. Nicholas on behalf of her friends, and the county clerk, Mr. C. McKinnon, on behalf of tile county staff. Other speakers were the county engineer, the district traffic inspector, Mr. A. McKenzie, Mr. John M. Dawson, representing the ratepayers in the Mangonui county, Mr. W. Bruce, of the unemployment division of the Labour Department, Mr. A. Dale, of the Native Lands Department, and Mr. F. Taylor, ,of the Police Department.
