FANCY DRESS BALL
OTAHUHU KINDERGARTEN The annual effort in aid of the funds of the Otahuhu Free Kindergarten was held in the Otahuhu public hall on Friday night and took the form of > masked fancy dress ball. There was a good attendance and a substantial sutn should accrue - from the effort. The school director, Miss Lane, and Mies Chandler assisted the following committee in organising the evening:—Mrs. A. V. Snaddeu, Mrs. C. 11. Petrie, Mrs. A. Hesketh, Mrs. S. H. Hunter. Mrs. H. L. Possenniskie, -Mrs. A. Pirtg. Mrs. H. Hotson, 3lrs. W. Best, Mrs. *A. U Grintcr, Mrs. A. Bailey, Mrs. " • Nicholson and Mrs. C. Dyer. During the evening Misses Joyce "Way and Ida Sholson gave an exhibition of tap dancing. , The judges, Mrs. D. Cuthbert and Mrs. V. Kirk, made the following awards: —Mrs. Somerville - (.departed spirits), Mrs. Murdie (golfer). Mrs. Harris (old English lady), Xgaire Matthews (baby), Gloria Xeal (page). Mrs. Hammond (washerwoman). Mrs. and Mrs. Marris (Darby and Joan). Mrs. Latimer (hula girl).
