ASSOCIATION GAME end of season SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH The Auckland Football, Association wilt bring its 6eason to a conclusion tins afternon with a special challenge match for the Scott Ilarnsav Rose Bowl between Comrades, the holder, and North Shore. Both these teams play fast and vigorous football and an exciting exhibition of the code should be witnessed. The annual sports day of the boys' division of the Y.M.C.A. will be held, while a club 100 yards championship will also .be decided. During the afternoon junior Association football trophies will be presented.

WRESTLING BOUT ON MONDAY > WOODS TO OPPOSE FOUCHE Ruggedness is likely to be opposed to wrestling science next Monday night when "Jolting" Joe Woods meets Francis Fouche at the ToWn Hall in a match which is part of the New Zealand world mat title series now in progress. Woods, so far undefeated in 'the tournament, will encounter in Fouche a most scientific wrestler. Fouche' opened his New Zealand campaign in fine fashion, disposing of the Californian champion Vic. Christie in straight falls. Against "Lofty" Blomfield he put up a strong showing, giving a fine display of courage in holding out against the dreaded "Octopus" Clamp for the major part of a round. Recent brilliant displays have made the vigorous Wddda a favourite in the present tournament. In defeating Clarence Eklund, Gus Sonnenburg, Ted Tbye, Fred Meyer and others, Woods established new gate records In Australia. He lost only five of some 50 matches and is regarded as having been mainly -responsible for the revival of the mat sport there. He a]so 'accounted in straight falls for Paul "Bombshell" Boesch, while Joe Bavoldi also fell to the power of his fore-arm Jolts. \ ; •
