LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

Mangere East. —At a meeting of the branch an address was Riven by Mrs. S. O. English, provincial president. A bring and buy stall was held, at which excellent business was done. An address by Dr. Elizabeth Colo was given, at a later date on how to cultivate and maintain good health. At the close of her address she was presented with a bouquet. Sympathy was expressed to the president, Mrs. S. C. MoCallum. on the death of her father-in-law, and with Mrs. W. It. Knight in the loss of her brother. Takapnna.—Mrs. G. H. Hall presided over a large attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the branch. Mrs. Armitage gave an interesting talk on orphanages. The tea -hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Spiers, Markham, Collins and Easdowne. Mrs. 1). Roberts gave the thought for the month. Parnell —The Parnell branch of the League of Mothers met in the Knox Hall recently. There was a large attendance of members, ovpr whom Lady Mackenzie presided. Reference was made to the death of one of the first members, Mrs. J: Nantes. An address on "Loyalty" was givon by Mrs. J. A. Bradstreet. Music was supplied by Mesdames Bird, Ball, Sullivan and Gardiner, anrl afternoon tea by Mesdames Malcolm, Hawke and Gash.
