GIRL INJURED BY TRUCK FARMER TO STANP TRIAL [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] BLENHEIM, Friday When a young girl, Alison Beryl Ivory, ran from behind a school bus to carry some mail to a settler's letter box on the opposite side of the road at Ilapaura on August 18 she was knocked down by a motor-truck driven by Noel Ernest Sinclair Hose, a farmer, of Blenheim. In the Police Court yesterday Hose pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving negligently and causing bodily harm. A further charge of driving with inefficient brakes was adjourned pending the hearing of the major charge, on which Hose was committed for trial. Nominal bail was fixed. The evidence disclosed that the victim of the accident, who was gravely hurt, suffering a fracture of the base of the skull which impaired the sight of her right eye, had nlado a remarkable recovery. ■<
