NEW CANON INSTALLED. At a service in St. Mary's Cathedral last night, the Rev. R. L. Connolly, vicar of St. Aidan's, Remuera, was instituted by Archbishop Averill as an honorary canon of the cathedral. cThe members of the Cathedral Chapter-As-sembled at the chancel steps, canon-elect was presented to the archbishop by Canon E. J. McFarTand. After he had answered the r required questions and the archbishop's licence -had been read, he was formally instituted and conducted to a stall in the sanctuary. '
