DEARER MEAT

GENERAL RISE TO-MORROW

A general rise in the price of meat, to operate from to-morrow, is announced by the Master Butchers' Association. It is stated that the increase is due to higher costs and the shortage of cattle at the Westfield stock market. Pork, veal and some lines of mutton are to advanced hi a pound, while most other meat will be increased by a halfpenny a pound.
