Y.M.C.A. BOYS' WORK

PARENTS ENTERTAINED Demonstrations typical of the activities of the boys' division of the Auckland Young Men's Christian Association were given in the boys' clubrooms last night, when ]3O parents were entertained. Primary school boys numbering 150 participated in the display. Musical and elocutionary items were presented, including one by a mouthorgan band, conducted by Mr. G. Watson. An ambulance display was staged, and relay races were held, in addition to mother-and-son and father-and-son novelty races. Tlio director of boys' work, * Mr. G. W. Adair, emphasised the need for mutual understanding between parents and children, and he also referred to the value of camping experience nt Hunua.
