JADED PLAYERS
DAVIS CUP TEAM AUSTRALIAN'S SUGGESTION NO CHALLENGE THIS YEAR By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received September 28. 10.30 p.m.) SYDNEY. Sept. 28 Vivian McGrath, writing in the Sun, expresses the opinion that Australia should not challenge for the Davis Cup next year, on the ground that her players are jaded by their series of summers here and overseas and now need a winter
at home. He and Crawford had encountered 12 successive summers and Quist ten. Crawford agreed with McGrath that, a continual summer, like everything else, was attractive for a while but not so good for general health.
