TERMS OF THE SETTLEMENT [hy telegraph —own correspondent] WAIHI, Tuesday The Martha Gold Mining Company's mine at Waihi and the battery at Waikino were fully manned when the day shift went on this morning, following the settlement at a .conference yesterday afternoon botween the employers and representatives of the Ohinemuri Mines and Batteries Union of trouble that had arisen over a case of alleged victimisation.

The men had declared that they would not return to their jobs until the man concerned was allowed to scout for work with others and go underground if chosen by a contracting party. It was officially announced this morning that such permission had been given.
