NEW SILVER COINS
HEAD OF KING GEORGE VI. ISSUE IN NEW ZEALAND [by TELEGRAPH —SPECIAL REPORTER] WELLINGTON, Tuesday The early issue in New Zealand of new silver coinage designed with the head of His Majesty King George VI., is forecast in the annual report of directors of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, which was tabled in the House of Representatives to-night by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash. The report states that the amount of silver coin has purposely been allowed to fall below the usual level with the object of replenishing the stock when supplied of King George VI. coins are available. However, no indication is given as to when the new coins are likely to be in circulation.
