RUSSELL RADIO STATION SITES TO BE INSPECTED EXPERTS ARRIVE THIS WEEK Sites suitable for the erection of a radio station for Pan American Airways at Russell will be inspected this week by Mr. Harold Gatty, special representative of the company in New Zealand and Australia. Mr. Gatty will leave for Russell this morning by motor-car, and expects to return to the city on Thursday night, r Several members of the staff of experts being sent to New Zealand by Pan American Airways in connection with the organisation of the South Pacific air service from San Francisco to Auckland are passengers by the Monterey, which is due at Auckland on Friday morning. However, it is not known how many of them wiil reach Auckland on Friday, as some may break their journey at Pago Pago and continue to tho Dominion later. The company is establishing a base at Pago Pago, and it is likely that the advice of the experts may bo required there, before they come to New Zealand - . r '• x r A largo quantity of equipment for use in Auckland is being brought by tho Monterey. It includes gear for use by the various experts, and possibly some of the specially-made radio outfits. * .
