JAPANESE INVASION OF CHINA Two air raids on Nanking followed an encounter over Chiukiarig, further to the east as shown on the map. In the north Taiyuan and Paoting are shown, both having been subjected to air raids. Heavy fighting is reported between Peking and Paoting, toward which the Chinese are , making a fighting retreat.
