THREE DEATHS RESULT SAVAGE FIGHT IN YARD (Received September 20, 8.5 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO. Sept. 10 A telegram from Folsom, California, states that one guard and two prisoners were killed, the warden, Mr. Clarence Larkin, was critically injured, and at least seven others were hurt in an unsuccessful attempt by seven prisoners to escape from tho penitentiary there. There was savage fighting with knives and clubs in the prison yard. The warden was stabbed and is expected to die. A squad of reserve guards eventually overpowered the prisoners.
