OVERBURDENED COURT

INDUSTRIAL CASES HEAVY SCHEDULE AHEAD The Arbitration Court yesterday made sufficient fixtures to fill the schedule until November 10, quite apart from any others it may decide upon on October 18. when a great many of the 35 industrial cases referred back yesterday to conciliation councils will ho considered for future Court appointments. About 60 representatives of trade unions in tlie Auckland district attended the sitting yesterday to make their submissions for fixtures in award disputes, interpretations of awards, and compensation cases which are the subjects of dispute. The Court was occupied a full half-day with these matters.

Mr. Justice o'Regan said the Court was so overburdened with work that if there was the slightest opportunity of postponing any matters, they would be held over.
