GIFTS TO UNIVERSITY
DONATION OF £25 Appreciation of tho action of tho council and staff of tho Auckland University College in arranging a series of extension lectures to suit tho convenience of his teachers was expressed by Bishop Liston in a letter received at yesterday's meeting of tho council. Bishop Liston enclosed n donation of £25, which tho council decided should be donated to the purposes of university extension work. It was decided to thank Bishop Liston for his generous gift. The council also decided to express its appreciation of tho donation of a splendid example of a lava plug from nn ancient lava blow-hole made to tho geology department by Mr. John Carrie, of Sandriugham.
