RETURNED ARMY SISTERS
GUEST ENTERTAINED A pleasant morning tea was held yesterday at the tearooms of John Court, Limited, by the members of the Returned Army Nursing Sisters' Association, the guest of honour being Miss May Palmer. Beautiful bowls of Iceland poppies decorated the table. The president, Mrs.. P. J. North, presented 'Miss Palmer with a spray of red anemones, and maidenhair fern, and referred to her valuable work for a long period in the nursing profession, particularly during the Great War. Miss Morrison, a pioneer member of .the profession in New Zealand, was also welcomed. The party afterward adjourned to the roof garden, and Miss Palmer gave an interesting talk on her experiences 111 the Balkan campaign of 1912, tlio Great-War, and subsequently in the Sudan. Miss Palmer was trained at Wellington, but now lives in Jersey, Channel Islands, and will return there after her holiday in the Dominion. Those present were: —Mrs. P. J. North, Miss A.
