RETURNED SOLDIERS
PRESENTATION TO COUNCIL To show its appreciation of what has been, done for returned soldiers by the citizens of the borough the Mount Albert branch of the Auckland Heturned Soldiers' Association last night presented an illuminated address to the Mount Albert Borough Council. The president of the branch, Mr. W. T. White, said that 1937 was theJ2lst anniversary year of the founding of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, which felt the occasion was appropriate for presenting to the cJt:zens of tho Dominion a memorial or appreciation for assistance given m the war years and since to its nl ®™" bcx*s. The Mayor, Mr. H. A. Anderson, said the memorial would an honoured place in the council chamber
