Makarau.—A mooting of the branch was hold at the homo of INlrs. G. .10. Smith. The points competition for the host puff pastry was won by Mrs. G. E. Smith and Mrs. A. G. Hooper. In the flower section, Mrs. C. I;. Hooper was first and Mrs. F. H. Lapage-Robbio second. A competition arranged by tho hostesses, Mesdames E. R. Dunn and A. E. Cornelius, was won by Mrs. (!. T. W. Hooper, with Mrs. G. E. Smith second. Te l'uninga.—Members of the Morrinsvillc, Tatuanui, Tauhei and Patetonga branches ' were recently entertained. items were contributed by Miss A. Crow, Mrs. G. L. Kelk, -Mrs. \V. Northcott, Miss i). Allison and Miss W. Boston. Competitions resulted: — Coconut ice, Mrs. Alii,son, 1; Mrs. Hines, 2; embroidered coathanger, Mrs. Tordof, 1: Mrs. Allison, 2; jumbled names, Mrs. Simmers; car competition, Mrs. Duffy; memory test, Mrs. Tordof; chocolate competition, Mrs. P. Roach. Produce, fancy work and cookery stalls were in charge of Mrs. Hines and Mrs. Martinson. Pukekohe East. —A Scottish afternoon was arranged by Mrs Twydle and Mrs. Milne, and was thoroughly enjoyed. A reading was given by Mrs. Robinson, sen.; a duet by Mrs. Twydle and Mrs. J. W. Robinson; a character song in costume by Mrs. Milne, Mrs. M. Johnson and Miss Johnson; a reading by Mrs. E. Hall; and a comic song, in costume, by Mrs. Twydle. Competition results were: —'Hilly sponge, Mrs. W. J. Robinson, 1; Mrs. T. Morgan, 2; Mrs. Grubb, •'!; flowers, Mrs. J. W. Robinson and Mrs. M. Johnson, equal, 1. Waiau Pa. —Mrs. A. S. Cole presided at the last meeting, when -" presentation was made to Miss Eileen Clark, the retiring secretary. An amusing one-act comedy by the "social three" was much enjoyed, and a playlet was acted by Mrs. G. Clark, Mrs. H. G. Kettle and tho Misses M. Jenkins, B. Kettle, E. Learning and D. Learning. ' Competition results were: — Gingerbread (seniors), Mrs. Harrison Hill, 1; Mrs. A. S. Colo and Mrs. H. G. Learning, equal, 2; shortbread (juniors), Miss P. Hell, 1; Miss M. Vol/,, 2; best bloom, Mrs. K. 1). Clark, 1; Mrs. H. Smith, 2. Paerata. —The resignation of Mrs. A. Davov was received with regret. Mesdames Knott and Duxlield were elected joint secretaries in place 'of Mrs. S. Pegler, who has resigned. Mrs. Lumsden was appointed welfare officer. Mrs. 11. C. Clark gave a report of the conference she attended in Wellington. A programme arranged by Mesdames J. Pegler, Kayos and Branch was contributed by Mrs. A. Clark, with Mrs. Keaue, of Pukekohe, as the accompanist. A lucky tea number was ! won by Mrs. Dunnett, and a competi- I tion by Mrs. Keith.
