Monday An announcement that the Cabinet had approved in- principle of the transfer of Crown lands in Molesworth Street to the Diocese of Wellington to complete the site for the new Anglican Cathedral was made on Saturday. "Cabinet's decision will be a cause for rejoicing to all those who, whether members of the Church of England or not, hoped that the Hill Street-Moles-worth Street site would be secured for the project," said the Bishop of Wellington, ~Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland. " Personally—and 1 think I may speak too for the Church of England as a whole—l am most grateful to the Government for their willingness to cooperate in this matter and for the expedition with which they have dealt with it. The last element of doubt has now b?en removed and it is possible to press forward with the plans for the completion of the purchase of the other properties ou the site."
