GARAGE HAND INJURED
STRUCK BY CRANE HANDLE CONDITION FAIRLY SERIOUS Concussion and a cut over one eye were suffered by a garage employee, Mr. Albert Ross Obuglien, aged 19, when lie was struck by the handle of a crane on a wrecking truck on Saturday. The youth, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Obuglien, of Wailii, resides at 48 Grafton Eoad, City. Employed at the Railway Service Station in Beach Road, Mr. Obuglien was sent to Maramarua on Saturday. He was operating the crane when the handle flew off and struck him on the head. After treatment at the casualty department of the Auckland Hospital he was able to return to his homo on Saturday night, but his condition became worse during the week-end. Mr. Obuglien was admitted to the hospital last night, and his condition is reported to be fairly serious.
