ONE THOUSAND EX-SOLDIERS COMMONWEALTH CELEBRATIONS An invitation has been received from Australia for 1000 New Zealand exservicemen to visit the Commonwealth for the sequi-centenary celebrations to be held in 1938. The matter was referred to at a meeting of the Auckland Returned Soldiers Association last night by the president, Mr. J. W. Kendall, who said if it fare possible to charter one or more ships this would be done. ".Members of the contingent will live on the ship throughout," he said. "Each association will hs given a quota to fill and 'will have thft final selection of its representatives.
