STATE DEPOSITS HIGHER INCREASE IN EXCHANGE DAIRY ADVANCES £427,000 LESS [BV TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday Tho Reserve Bank return for tho week ended Monday, July 26, was gazetted to-night. Tho statement is balanced at £31,339,012, or £139,742 less than 'at tho end of the previous week. Government deposits aro £296,977 higher than they wcro a week previously, while those of the trading banks have decreased by £446,473. The note issue is valued at £10,185 more than in tho preceding return. An increase of £269,212 in tho value •of the sterling exchange reservo follows a rise of £492,881 in tho return of tho week before. Advances to the Dairy Industry Account have fallen by £427,187. BANK DIVIDEND NEW SOUTH WALES PAYMENT The directors of tho Bank of New South Wales have declared a quarterly dividend at the unchanged rate of 6s a share in Australian currency, payable at the head ofiieo on August 26 and at branches on receipt of advice.
